Nautiraid Folding Canoes

Nautiraid’s folding canoes have aluminium longitudinal frames with reinforced plastic cross members, covered over by a tough PVC skin. They are beautifully designed, and much more hydrodynamic than inflatable types. Stabilair low-pressure inflatable tubes down the sides give heeled stability and buoyancy (all models).

SpearFish 15 Inflatable Motor Canoe

SpearFish Boats are relatively long and narrow roll-up inflatables. Their unique shape makes them very easily-driven, which means you can achieve decent speeds with relatively small (lightweight and inexpensive) outboard motors. And because the deflated boats fit in a bag (that fits in most car boots), you won’t need a trailer or mooring.

This all makes for a highly portable, and refreshingly affordable, means to get afloat.

For example, with a 6hp motor the smallest 450 (15ft) model will do 14-15 knots with two adults on board, when a typical-shape inflatable dinghy would be languishing in single figures. The ride is also remarkably comfortable – she slices through the tops of waves, rather than bouncing over them. And the stability is also very good, because as soon as she heels a few degrees.there is an immense amount of “push back” from those long (4.5m long) side tubes.

As David Parker, in PRACTICAL BOAT OWNER Magazine (August 2016) summarised: “It is certainly both very quick, and a lot of fun.”

About us

Company details

Nestaway Boats specialises in folding, sectional and inflatable dinghies, canoes and kayaks. Why? Well, in considering the purchase of a boat, most potential customers face two key questions:

(1) Where will I keep my boat? All our folding and inflatable boats need less storage space than conventional ones. Some reduce in size enough to fit in a cupboard (or even under your bed!).

(2) How will I get my boat to the water? Our boats fit inside or on top of most cars, yachts and motorhomes, so there is no need for trailers and the hassle of towing.

By answering those questions, we hope to make boating available to a wider audience.

And we cannot put it better than Ratty to Mole, in Kenneth Grahame’s Wind in the Willows:

“There’s nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats”
