Marsa Shagra

Located just 40km South of Marsa Alam airport, Marsa Shagra is the largest and most well-known of our locations. It boasts one of the most beautiful house reefs in the Red Sea, thanks to the strict environmental protection we enforce in the village.

The unlimited diving concept on the house reef offers a unique opportunity to dive with absolute freedom and flexibility, which is what attracts divers to Marsa Shagra. With over 20 nearby dive sites on our regular diving program, including the world-famous Elphinstone and Marsa Abu Dabab, divers are spoilt for choice and can expect to encounter the very best marine life that the Red Sea has to offer.

Marsa Shagra is the perfect introduction to diving in the Southern Red Sea.

Marsa Nakari

Marsa Nakari is a small, intimate and charming village featuring a sheltered bay with its own house reef, 78km south of Marsa Alam Airport.

Marsa Nakari is in a prime location for both marine and land attractions, close to the Samadai protectorate (Dolphin House Reef) and Wadi el Gemal. While Samadai is known as a resting place for Spinner Dolphins, Wadi el Gemal encompasses a strip of coastal marine waters featuring patches of mangroves, as well as a number of marine islands (the Hamata archipelago and Wadi El Gemal Island).

With unlimited house reef diving and close proximity to a number of beautiful shore and off-shore reefs, divers have the best of both worlds and can tailor their diving holiday to their wishes without being restricted to a diving schedule. Marsa Nakari is ideal for for individuals, buddy pairs and groups or dive clubs alike.

Wadi Lahami

Wadi Lahami is a secluded village in Egypt’s pristine “deep south”, 180km South of Marsa Alam airport and 10km south of Hamata. This destination is for the dedicated explorer featuring an almost completely empty coastline, except for the occasional mangrove and herds of grazing camels. Guests are treated to a true adventure and nature-based experience both on land, and underwater. The mangrove area just north of the village is home to many birds, making it an ideal site to bird watch. Observe the Ospreys hunt their morning catch while you enjoy an early, pre-dive breakfast.

Wadi Lahami offers the chance to explore the world-class Fury Shoals; the most pristine dive sites in the whole of the Red Sea, including famous dive sites such as Shaab Claudia, Satayah (Dolphin) Reef, Abu Galawa and Shaab Maksour. Guests are offered up to 4 dives per day with over 30 dive sites in the program. It is the ideal location for anyone looking for top quality diving along with privacy, seclusion, and proximity to nature.

Company details

RED SEA DIVING SAFARI is the southern Red Sea’s leading tourism & diving destination. It is one of Egypt’s leading environmental activists and a pioneer of sustainable tourism development.

Our destination features three simple but beautiful villages in the secluded regions of Marsa Alam and Hamata, on the Red Sea Coast: Marsa Shagra Village , Marsa Nakari Village and Wadi Lahami Village.
