Water Discus

The most recognizable product of Deep Ocean Technology Poland is the world acclaimed Water Discus, which is offered and promoted predominantly as an Underwater Hotel, but can be adapted to fit a number of needs. The main assumption of the concept of Water Discus (WD) is to create an environment that will allow WD users to stay, live and work underwater for an unlimited period of time and at the same time enjoy the view of the coral reef and the surrounding marine life. The unique combination of proprietary technology used by Deep Ocean Technology Poland solves all major problems associated with underwater constructions, including, but not limited to safety, environment, ease of maintenance and cost efficiency.
Water Discus comprise two discs – an underwater and above-water one. This combination will allow guests to admire the depths of the ocean while making the most of the warm climate. The two parts of the structure are connected by five solid legs and a vertical shaft containing a lift and stairway. The size of each disc has been adjusted to local conditions.

About us

Company details

Originally, the project was founded in Gdynia in 2010 as Deep Ocean Technology. Currently, all operations, now under Deep Ocean Technology Poland, include:

  • designing and construction of Water Discus units;
  • designing manned and remotely operated underwater vehicles;
  • designing deep-sea equipment for seabed exploration at small and large depths.
In order to put these technologically demanding projects into effect, our Company has established an ongoing collaboration with scientists and engineers from the Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology, Gdańsk University of Technology, as well as other Polish scientific and R&D institutions. We have also relied on manufacturing capabilities of both Polish and international shipyards and equipment producers.
