PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

Exploration, Excitement, Experiences. They’re what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. And no, you don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed so you can go straight into it after the PADI Open Water Diver course.

The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. This course builds on what you’ve learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.

The Fun Part: Your Choice

The Scuba Gear You Use

You use all the basic scuba gear including your underwater compass. Depending on which three adventure dives you pick, you may also try out underwater photography equipment , DPVs (underwater scooters), a dive light, lift bags, a dive flag/float or other specialty gear.

The Learning Materials You Need
PADI’s Adventures in Diving Manual and DVD provide information on more than 16 types of specialty diving. You’ll use them as a guidebook to improve your diving skills and prepare for new experiences and adventures.

What You Learn

Pier Uno Resort & Dive Center was formerly known as Tanya’s Dive University, a family owned resort. It started as a rest house for the Crisostomo’s family and finally opened to the public in November 2005.  Rooms are  8 Casitas Deluxe,  5 Alexandria Superior, and  3 Executive rooms and  6 Native rooms, all with AC, Hot and Cold shower, Cable TV, and access to internet connection.  To date, there is a total of 30 rooms and a conference room that can hold up to 70 persons in a function.

The resort is situated at Anilao Batangas, it is the name of two Philippine Barangays: Anilao Proper & Anilao East. Both are located in the municipality of Mabini Batangas which is south of Manila on the large island of Luzon. The place was originally known as “Janao – Janao” and is said to be derived from the geographical shape and feature of the land and water comprising the Barrio, palm trees resembling the Anahaw tree that serve as a cool resting place for foot travelers going to and coming from the mother town; Bauan.

Anilao Batangas is two to three hours away from the busy street of Metro Manila with the newly constructed highway and it is a popular place for divers and snorkelers over the weekends or even the whole weekday.   The water surrounding the area is teeming with marine protected life,  plenty of corals and amazing diversity of fishes.

The resort is accredited by Department of Tourism of the Philippines from CLASS A, now to 2 START RESORT, and of the Philippine Commission on Sports Scuba Diving. We are also accredited center of  SDI  and  SSI  and soon with PADI.  We are committed to providing an unforgettable experience, excitement, and exploration in an exotic environment.
