Learn more about our diving school and excursions, and discover the beautiful world under the sea.

From the very start, Salamangka Beach and Dive Resort has been a resort for scuba divers. Our Dive Centre is located on the beach about 40 metres from our house reef. From beginner and refresher dive courses to open water dives, we cater to all levels of experience.

We also have a full dive shop where you can buy or rent any diving equipment you need. There are toilets and hot and cold showers near the beach, and washing facilities on the beach. Our classroom is located next to the office and equipped with a library and flat screen TV for watching instructional videos. Our filling station is nearby and offers air, nitrox and oxygen. Trimox is also available if ordered in advance.

We also have a boat to take you to some of the hidden gems around the island. Thankfully, the reefs around Siquijor Island are still in immaculate condition, allowing you to see the full biodiversity of the waters that surround us. It is truly an eye-opening experience even for advanced divers. Our house reef is full of hard corals, tropical fish and an abundance of macro life down to 90 metres and deeper. There are 42 known dive sites around the island, from gentle coral slopes to walls and shoals.

Sustainable Tourism

Salamangka Beach and Dive Resort opened in May 2014 and became accredited by the Philippine Department of Tourism in November of the same year. Sustainability, and the respect and conservation of our environment, is at the core of our resort. We believe that when you see the natural beauty of the island and its waters, you will gain a new appreciation for our planet.

Our conviction is more than just words: it’s something we live by and put into practice every day. We’ve installed solar panels at the resort that currently generate 40% of the energy we use. We are also working to reduce plastic in the oceans – one of the largest and most visible problems that the world faces – by eliminating plastic drinking bottles and offering each guest a complimentary, reusable aluminium bottle instead.

Our promise to you
We know that the best form of advertising comes from personal recommendations, and the only way to get those is by offering extraordinary service and quality. Therefore, we promise you the following: we’ll make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible by ensuring that you feel comfortable and taken care of, with gourmet cuisine and fine wines.

The Buluhisan
Salamangka Beach and Dive Resort is located on the mystical island of Siquijor, in the barangay (district) of Buluhisan. Just off our beach is a large rock that sticks out of the water; according to local belief, there is a creature called the Buluhisan, half man, half fish, that lives on this outcrop. The locals even give gifts and offerings to this mythical creature.
