Our products

Product category: Mainsail Furling Systems

The FACNOR Mainsail reefing system allows you to sail in complete comfort and total security

It marks the end of struggling to reef in rough seas; in one simple operation you will have the sail adjusted to the wind force.

Once back in a harbor, no more folding or flaking the mainsail. Again in one simple move your mainsail can be furled and unfurled. Your yacht will always be prepared to leave its berth, sails ready.
The Principe of COMPACT F continues the philosophy which has made FACNOR one the world leaders in the design and manufacture of furling systems : simplicity - reliability - innovation. The furled mainsail is contained in a housing section fixed to the mast. The great reliability of the system comes from the furling mechanism itself which is a unique line drive positioned just above the goose-neck ( FACNOR patent).

The crucial concept of COMPACT F is the fixing of the housing sections to the mast sailtrack without the need to drill holes in the mast.  This extremely strong but simple method of fitting requires no alteration to the mast nor any modification of the goose-neck. As a consequence the system is easy to both fit and remove, without unstepping the mast, and will fit all types of masts.

Product category: Reefing Gear/Accessories

Gennaker or asymmetric Spinnaker furling line easily stored in the sail bag thanks to the new Facnor stainless steel double leads : removable, competitively priced and ideal for endless line installations where the line needs to follow the toe rail.

Material : electro-polishing duplex Stainless steel  +  textil self gripping strip

Installation : 2 screws + locknuts

Stanchions installation : self-gripping strip

Ø25 & Ø28 mm stanchions.

Use : parallel furling lines (rope hole Ø20 max.) of head-sails and staysails, Gennaker or asymmetric Spinnaker.

Principle : ideal for endless line installations where the line needs to follow the toe rail. The double lead fits  stanchions with a self-gripping strip, which makes easy storage of the whole sail package (flying sail + furler + furling line + leads). The clever twin-part lead is easily dismantled allowing swift installation of a pre spliced endless drive line. Alternatively, the double lead can guide parallel furling lines of head-sails and staysails.

FXT Furler

Further to constructive technical exchanges with ocean racers, Facnor has developed a new sophisticated range of Gennaker/Code Zero furlers : the FX+. A true evolution : light, easy to fit and aesthetic. Fitted on request with a ratchet device securing the furling, locking both clockwise and anti-clockwise (Facnor patent).

- Large Gennakers, Code Zeros, and Staysails are easy to handle using Facnor furlers.
- This is also convenient for quickly clearing the foredeck.
- Secured sail connection SAIL / MECHANISM (FX+ and FXT)
- Easy to fit and to adjust & simplified use
- Conversion for asymmetrical Spinnaker (FAST THIMBLE)
- A staysail can be fitted also on a FX+ furler : in this configuration, we recommend to install a 2-to-1 block (halyard better tighteh and less tension in the mast).

About us

Company details

Continuing innovation is the goal of the FACNOR Design Team which started in 1985 with the introduction of a new jib furler range featuring the patented telescopic section. Seven years later, FACNOR introduced the FACSLIDE® batten car system. This new system eliminated end stops on the cars and can fit on any type of mast. At the 1998 La Rochelle Boat Show, the complete FACNOR range of continuous line furling systems was awarded by the well-known « Innovation Award ».

During Chicago show, in the beginning of 2011, Facnor officialy received the Pittman award in the "Racing Gear" catagory for the FlatDeck Jib Furler. Sail, an influential American magazine, awards the most innovative products available on the current marine market. The German magazine Segeln has presented to our agent, Carsten Burfeind, the 2012 Segeln Award, at "Düsseldorf Boot". This trophy rewards the FlatDeck furling system, winner in the « Sailing Equipment » category, and selected among nine products by the readers of the magazine.
