URSUIT BDS KEVLAR, BLACK PINE

Ursuit BDS Kevlar is a suit developed for demanding operations such as surface rescue, professional diving and technical diving. The material is lightweight and breathable three-layer fabric with 20% Kevlar strengthening, making the suit very comfortable. Front zipper allows the user to don the suit without assistance. The cover flap on the dry zipper protects the zipper from sand and dirt, as well as prevents the jacket from rubbing against the zipper teeth. The suit has integrated suspenders, which together with the crotch strap enable a telescopic waist structure. The waist and the light material make the suit feel like a regular workwear garment, providing best possible ergonomy. The revised cut of the sleeves and shoulders enable excellent mobility. The crotch seam is renewed to prevent wear-and-tear and to provide even better abrasion resistance. Stitched seams make the suit construction possible without external taping. Durability of the suit is even further enhanced by the polyurethane Ursuit Shield -reinforcements on the shoulders, crotch, knees and bottom. Roomy and easy accessible Tech-pockets, with integrated D-ring and bungee loops. A small pocket on the flap with zipper closure. The orange coloured version of the BDS Kevlar has also reflectors as a standard feature for added visibility and safety.

ONE ENDURANCE

The One Endurance is made of softdura material, that is robust against abrasion, but yet flexible in use. It is a good choice also for diving in cold water, because of the fabric. The suits have a telescope waist structure which means inside the suit there are integrated braces and together with the crotch strap they form a telescope waist. Thanks to this telescope waist construction of the suit, it feels like a normal cloth and ensures that the suit adjusts to the user's movements. The front zipper allows you easily to dress the suit without outside help. The cover on the zipper protects the jacket from rubbing and keeps the zipper clean from sand and dirt. The warm neck structure keeps the separate hood in right place. Since the warm neck is not attached to the seam of the seal any kind of hood can be used, even the one with longer collar. This unique structure ensures that you can use the suit also in a really cold water. The suit is equipped with Si Tech inlet and outlet valves. Bellow type pockets on both thighs, divided in two sections. The pocket flap is designed so that it is easy to open even with dry gloves on. Round shape of the pocket is stylish but also pratical in use. As a standard there is also a small pocket in the flap with zip closure. The suit has Tech Dry Boots that are lightweight and flexible. Cordura reinforcements on shoulders, elbows, bottom and knees.

About us

Company details

Ursuk's story began in 1964 in Turku, Finland from a modest little dive shop downtown that displayed the finest diving equipment of the time, including neoprene wetsuits, of course. The back room of the shop served as a factory in which the suits were hand cut for each customer individually.

The 1970s saw a continuation of the era dominated by neoprene. The 3-mm suits were an absolute hit among Finnish water sports enthusiasts. One of the company's great prides was its line of modern windsurfing suits.

With time, and growing success, a more durable suit material, double lined neoprene, was added to the already impressive selection. With the confidence gained from past successes, Ursuk also signed its first export deal with the Swedish company Watski.

Soon the company had grown so much that it was forced to move to new premises, which became its headquarters for the next 35 years.

In the 1980s, product development continued, and the company's range came to include the 6h SOLAS immersion suits. The next decade, in turn, saw the focus shift to more breathable and comfortable dry materials. The new millennium brought with it Heavy Light, the first Ursuit diving dry suit, as well as a new patented innovation, a two-piece dry suit, Ursuit Gemino.

Ursuk's current premises in the Lauste district of Turku were completed in 2008. The impressive facility covers an area of 2,500 m2 and employs over 70 skilled professionals. Nonetheless, the original vision from 1964 remains the same: Ursuk manufactures absolute safety combined with first-rate comfort.

COMPANY VALUES: WHAT IS URSUK?

From the very beginning, our first and foremost aim has been to listen and to understand our customers. This has also been defined as one of our core values. We strive to be a trusted partner to all our customers. If we can be confident in what we do, our customers will do the same. We aim towards excellence in all our activities: By continuously renewing and evolving we will be the leader in our field of business, and can produce top-quality products.

Recently, we asked our employees how they see the company they work in: According to them Ursuk equals high-quality work, skilled and professional people, and internationality. Ursuk is a company that succeeds through cooperation and uniqueness – by being a little out-of-the-ordinary – and by having an excellent concept. Our employees believe that we can be taken seriously, and that we represent Finnish cutting-edge know-how in products designed for extreme conditions. Some even admitted that Ursuk is a way of life, and it's true that we do also have fun together.

OUR FUTURE VISION AND COMPANY MISSION

It's our dream that everyone would embark on their adventures on water wearing a dry suit. Nowadays, nobody questions, for example, the necessity of wearing a seatbelt while driving a car. You buckle it without giving it a second thought. However, this was not the situation not that many decades ago. We feel that the safety related to activities on and under water can still be improved in so many ways, and we admit that, with our vision, we are aiming high because we know that wearing appropriate gear creates safety but, what's more important, comfort.

In the future we are expanding our horizons even further. Our mission is to offer our growing customer-base products with superior quality that protect them against all elements of nature. Extreme conditions are a state of mind and staying dry is a state of being. Ursuit creates safety and comfort on land, at sea and in the open air. The reason for our existence is to help you to perform well as a professional, to enjoy a sport that you love, and to be comfortable that you can rely on your gear, regardless of the conditions.
