The new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 410 adopts the award-winning walkaround cockpit concept of its big sister and allows barrier-free movement on deck.
With the Sun Odyssey 440, Jeanneau for the first time introduced the innovative walkaround cockpit on deck of a sailing yacht to great success, the 440 was also named European Yacht of the Year 2018 in the family cruiser category because of the clever cockpit design. Jeanneau is now successfully using the concept of side decks sloping to aft at cockpit level on the new Sun Odyssey 410.
No tripping hazards on deck The 410, designed by Marc Lombard, scores not only with the barrier-free access to the foreship. The entire deck layout of the Sun Odyssey 410 is functional and tidy and keeps the entire running decks free of linen and sheets. All halyards and sheets are led via the deckhouse roof and the coaming to the winches on the side of the companionway and next to the two control stands. The boom is designed low which facilitates access to the sail and increases the sail area. This elegant touring yacht, which by the way is equipped with a double rudder system, can be steered completely from the cockpit with a small crew.
Sicherheit an Deck The cockpit is voluminous and open towards the stern. The high walls offer good protection and the wide benches offer plenty of storage space in the cockpit. Of course, a modern touring yacht of this size should not be without the folding cockpit table and the generously dimensioned, foldable bathing platform. The high side walls in the stern area, created by the sloping side decks, offer additional safety when moving on deck.
Chaiselongue in saloon Below deck the Sun Odyssey 410 also has some innovative new features to offer. The saloon is bright and friendly thanks to the ribbon windows in the deck structure, the skylights and the hull windows. In addition to the usual seating group, it also has a comfortable chaiselongue that can be used for a nap. The U-shaped kitchen with three-burner stove, oven and sink guarantees the physical well-being of the crew, offers plenty of storage space and a large work surface. Even a separate navigation corner and a bathroom with separate shower can be found here.
Four layouts Jeanneau offers four different cabin versions, two versions with two double cabins each and one or two bathrooms, and two versions with three double cabins each, also with one or two bathrooms. The two cabin version features a double cabin with a double bed in the aft section of the 410, next to a large storage space for the sailing wardrobe. In the forward owner's cabin you have the choice, without a second bathroom you get a very spacious cabin with a central island bed, large wardrobe and washbasin. If the owner decides for an en suite bathroom with a separate shower cabin, the double bed will be installed diagonally at the side of the ship and thus the space for the bathroom will be created. In the three-cabin versions, only the large technical/storage room is replaced by a third double cabin, so that one can go on a long journey with six persons on the Sun Odyssey 410.
