Charter Boats - A Booming Business And Its Challenges
boot Düsseldorf and European Boating Industry are proud to announce that the fourth edition of their “International Breakfast Meeting” will be held at the Düsseldorf boat show on Tuesday, 22 January 2019.
The “International Breakfast Meeting” was developed to answer the exhibitors' and trade visitors’ need to combine a commercial presence at the world's largest indoor boat show with getting the latest news on regulatory or market developments worldwide. And this is what the breakfast session will continue to do - providing participants and journalists with the insights and updates from the industry that they are looking for in a compact 2 hour session, allowing them at the same time to meet and network with peers.
In 2016, the event looked at subjects such as competitiveness, challenges and trends in boating. The 2017 event concentrated on how the industry should become more attractive for newcomers to the sport as well as adapt better to elderly people on board. In 2018, market development in both well-established boating countries (France and the USA) and in emerging countries (Colombia and South Korea) was in the spotlight.
In 2019, the International Breakfast Meeting will focus on the booming business of charter boats and the challenges that come with this business. In particular, the event will address how the chartering business is impacting boatbuilders and the issue of charter boat skippers and their special requirements.
The details of the programme for 2019, including a list of speakers will be announced in the run up to boot Düsseldorf 2019.
