boot Düsseldorf supports projects and events in all kinds of watersports. It is not only known as a partner of Kieler Woche and Travemünder Woche, but also supports the German sailing Bundesliga. Other projects sponsored by boot Düsseldorf are the Start Boating campaign organized by the German Boating Industry Association (BVWW) and Canoe on Tour, which seek to get new people involved in boating. Regatta series & leagues supported by boot
What started as a possible new racing format in sailing a few years ago has now become a permanent fixture on the racing calendar in Germany. A real success story: The German Sailing League or "Segel-Bundesliga"! On several weekends during the boating season the regatta sailors of Germany's best sailing clubs compete in fleet races on J/70 boats. It has become a real privilege to be chosen as a venue for the league regattas. In total, more than 100 sailing clubs are already participating in the DSBL. Since 2018, the German Sailing League is now also supported by boot Düsseldorf as a partner! The well-known boot Düsseldorf logo will be shown on the hulls of all regatta boats.
The Super Sail Tour is a series of Hobie 16 races sponsored by boot Düsseldorf, in which sailors as well as spectators can experience the fascination of sailing. Whether off Sylt or Scharbeutz, Grömitz or Kellenhusen, the most attractive holiday resorts on the North Sea and the Baltic Sea host most demanding events every year. The series consists of the Super Sail Tour, boot Düsseldorf enters two teams in the races, and the Sylt Sailing Week comprising of the Zansibar Race, Sylt Tourist Open and Hobie World Cat. For the international fan community of the fast Hobie 16 cats the Hobie World Cat on Westerland is one of the great international highlights of Hobie racing.
Supported by boot Düsseldorf, the "Canoe on Tour" project offers an initial introduction to paddling for everybody interested in getting involved. The aim of the project is to introduce average holiday-makers to the fun of paddling on German rivers, lakes and waterways. During the summer months kayaks, canoes and SUP boards are used widely throughout the country. During the season, the "Canoe on Tour" team stops at campsites all over Germany and presents the fascination of canoeing in their activity days programme. The canoe on tour team is also active in winter: at boot Düsseldorf is present on stage at the Holiday World in Hall 13 with many presentations, pictures and films.
"Start Boating" is the motto of a campaign launched at boot Düsseldorf 2016. The aim is to win over newcomers to boating by providing opportunities for first hand experiences on board. During a number of big watersports events in all parts of Germany in the summer the campaign team offers free test drives on various different boats. Interested newcomers to boating can turn to the experts at the Start Boating information booth for answers to all their queries concerning "first steps on board". The campaign is also always represented at boot Düsseldorf with an information stand and the "Rhine Boating Simulator". boot Düsseldorf is one of the initiators of the campaign.
Since 2015 boot Düsseldorf offers a forum for the International OCEAN FILM TOUR. Here, a best-of-collection of previous sea adventures and watersports films is on show daily on the large screen of the Water Pixel World in Hall 4. In discussions with the film tour team, visitors have the opportunity to obtain the latest information on the upcoming tour. For boot Düsseldorf as a partner of the International OCEAN FILM TOUR, sustainability in watersports is an important issue. Together with the Prince Albert II Foundation and the German Ocean Foundation, boot Düsseldorf also awards the „ocean tribute Award“ for projects concerned with issues of sustainability in the marine context.
When boot Düsseldorf is over in January, the pressure is on to get prepared for the new racing season. A set first date on the schedule of many regatta crews is the May Offshore Regatta. Sailed on the first weekend in May, it is the first contest of the season for around 100 crews, sailed on Kieler Förde with the support of boot Düsseldorf.
on Whitsun weekend Germany's only offshore island Helgoland always is the venue Nordseewoche, the most demanding offshore regatta on the North Sea. boot Düsseldorf is one of the main sponsors of this event and, together with WetterWelt, presents the daily sailing weather report.
Another regatta of great tradition sponsored by boot Düsseldorf on Whitsun weekend is Rheinwoche, undoubtedly one of the most important regattas sailed on a river in Europe. Since 1922, this traditional event has attracted people from far and wide to Germany's longest and perhaps most beautiful river.
The long-distance race "RUND UM" on Lake Constance sponsored by boot Düsseldorf is a special experience thanks to the mighty background scenery of the Alps. More than 400 boats line up on Lake Constance in mid-June for Germany's biggest mass start, compete for the Blue Ribbon.
What started off as a private race of a few shipping merchants has over the years developed into a "meeting place of the maritime industry" known as the Peter Gast Schiffahrtsregatta. boot Düsseldorf takes part in this regatta with its own team and is hosting the sailors' breakfast at the event.
Essener Segelwoche (Essen Sailing Week) on Lake Baldeney is the highlight of the regatta season for sailors in North Rhine-Westphalia. Of course, boot Düsseldorf is committed to this long established sailing event with all its competence.

Young Europeans Sailing
Around 650 young sailors from more than ten nations show their skills at the Young Europeans Sailing sponsored by boot Düsseldorf. The event, which is held every year over the Whitsun weekend, is an integral part of the the race schedule of many sailors and teams. It provides a professional set up for reagtta sailing as well as colourful programme in the race village. The concept of the YES regatta is tailor-made for the target group of youth sailors. Organizing clubs of the event, which is often called "Kieler Woche for youngsters", are Kieler Yacht-Club and Norddeutscher Regatta Verein.
