Volvo Penta Innovative Propulsion Systems for Boats & Yachts

Being part of the Swedish Volvo Group Volvo Penta develops and manufactures engines and propulsion systems for marine leisure and marine commercial applications. Volvo Penta delivers also industrial engines for stationary and mobile applications.

Again and again Volvo Penta innovations set standards in the industry. Some of these innovations even changed it. Volvo Penta launched 1959 the Aquamatic, the first sterndrive. Later on came the first Saildrive, the first Aquamatic diesel engines and the Duoprop. 2005 Volvo Penta surprised the yachting world with the revolutionary Volvo Penta IPS and after that with the Joystick.

Now Volvo Penta IPS is available with 3 even 4 engines.
