Curriculum vitaeAs the great-grandson of the painter Anna Preuk von Preukendorf, Klaus Schneidewind studied Free Painting in Hamburg and Bonn before becoming a freelance painter and sculptor. He created an unconventional painting style which is absolutely unique:

The "realistic-poetic landscape painting"

He never uses a brush, but rather exclusively paints his expressive oil paintings with the tips of his fingers. Only for the very finest filigree details does he have to resort to a soft paintbrush. This gives his works their distinctive look which some have described as Schneidewind’s “seismographic painting style“. As a result, his paintings convey a positive message, full of emotion and soul, a tribute to our European coastal landscapes.

One of the highlights of his career was a recent honour he received when his hometown named a health clinic after him in gratitude and acknowledgement of his artistic achievements and commitment to the community. His works have been featured in numerous exhibitions in greater northern Germany in Spain, France and at boat shows in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Friedrichshafen and Rostock. His art prints are sold internationally in limited edition.
