Asmer

Since 1993 ASMER has established itself as the specialist for stainless steel boat fittings and accessories as well as for the development and manufacture of windvane self-steering equipment. The manager Reinhold Michelly, a qualified automotive engineer, had spent many years in various areas of automotive engineering (Oldtimer restoration in California and the development departments of Porsche and BMW). A double Atlantic crossing by yacht intensified his interest in the area of marine engineering and led to the establishment of his company in France.

Over the last ten years ASMER has built on its experience with its production materials which today is applied equally to the manufacture of special one-off orders from stainless steel and to production runs for industry. Naturally we also carry out all types of repairs.
We offer:

· Bending and rolling of tubing to 42mm diameter
· Turning and milling
· Polished, invisible welded seams
· Electrolytic, mechanical and manual polishing

For several years ASMER has been working with an ever increasing professional clientele whose increased demands for quality and workmanship have been demonstrably met by our production unit.

Following 6 years as the European licensee and manufacturer of the Cape Horn Windvane Self-steering systems, ASMER has been manufacturing the Beaufort Windvane Systems since 2002. Our aim is to always satisfy the requirements of our clients with our products and to further simplify the use and maintenance of our systems. We offer models of various sizes as well as a system with an auxiliar rudder.

Our aim is to continually increase your satisfaction. To help us achieve this we are introducing the Quality Standard ISO 9001:v2000 with the support of the Poitou-Charentes Region and the European Community.
