Continental II 23.00 Flybridge - world debut at boot 2012

The Continental II has been in production since 2007 and has proven itself to be very popular and desired. Naturally it features the typical Wim van der Valk looks and style which will stand out and turns heads in every marina. The ship has been especially designed to house the revolutionary Volvo Penta IPS drive system but is designed in such a way that it can be operated both with or without crew.

Yacht features
A two-level layout, as follows:

  • On the lower level the engine room (with full standing height), with has very good access from inside as well as via the special large door on the swimming platform.
  • In front of the engine-room we have a very large area which is available for cabins, bathrooms etc.
  • On the upper level you will find the very large wheelhouse connecting directly to the aft deck. The wheelhouse is large enough to house all your daytime area’s such as steering position, galley, dining area and saloon. However there is of course nothing stopping you to have, for instance, the galley and/or dining area on the lower level if you require much more relaxing space on the upper level if this should be more convenient for you.
  • The wheelhouse version has a very large electric sliding roof but of course the Continental II is also available in a beautiful fly bridge version.
  • An extra feature of the Continental II is the large area on the front deck. This can be a sitting area with a large table or a sunbathing area. Of course a combination of these two functions is also possible. Another possibility is to equip this area with a steering position which is smartly incorporated in the table. This means that when you prefer a wheelhouse version, you can still have an outside steering position with full functions on your front deck. Simply an alternative fly bridge.

Car-like handling and manoeuvring with Volvo Penta IPS
The Continental II series is available in sizes between 18 and 25 meters. Naturally the standard equipment on this model is very complete. The bigger the model, the more complete the standard equipment will be. Volvo Penta IPS is one of the greatest innovations even in boating. This system offers car-like handling and manoeuvring, joystick(s) for easy docking and manoeuvring, plus dramatically increased efficiency compared to inboard shafts
