European Powerboat of the year


These are Europe's best: The international “European Powerboat of the Year” award encompasses six categories. The jury was made up of Europe’s leading powerboat magazines. Traditionally, the awards are presented during the industry evening of the Delius Klasing publishing company and trade fair Duesseldorf during boot Duesseldorf. To this year’s awards ceremony publisher Konrad Delius and boot project manager Goetz-Ulf Michel Jung welcomed about 400 guests of the European water sports scene.

From all of the year’s newly launched motor boats, the jury selects 25 of the most interesting models in five categories. Then they evaluate their safety standards, quality workmanship, handling, space allocation and the price-performance ratio. In addition, each year the Innovation Award is awarded for exceptional innovations in the domain of motorboats.



Nominees for sport boat up to 30 ft were Bavaria 28 sport, Frauscher 717 GT, Sea Ray Pachanga 22 and Sessa Key Largo 27. The award of European Powerboat of the Year in the category of up to 30 feet went to the Frauscher 717 GT.

Nominees for sport boat up to 40 feet were Boesch 970 St. Tropez, Boston Whaler 370 Outrage, Gagliotta Lobster 35, Nord West 370 Sport, Sea Ray 305 Sundancer and Sessa C38. The award of European Powerboat of the Year in the category of up to 40 feet went to the Boston Whaler 370 Outrage.

Nominees for sport boat up to 50 feet were Absolute 42, Bavaria Deep Blue 46, Rio 46 Art, Sealine F46 and Sessa C43. The award of European Powerboat of the Year in the category of up to 30 feet went to the Bavaria Deep Blue 46.

Nominees for yachts 50 feet and more were Absolut 64, Fairline Squadron 65, Itama Sixty, Jeanneau Prestige 60 and Sessa C68. The award of European Powerboat of the Year in the category of 50 feet and more went to Jeanneau Prestige 60.

This year's Innovation Award went to the eco-friendly boat Greenline 33 Hybrid from Slowenia.
