Nordship 360 DS - low centre of gravity

The approx. 11 m Nordship 360 DS, the Benjamin of the family of the new deck saloon generation from the Danish boatyard, will make its world premiere here. Designed as a cruising yacht, one can look forward to excellent sailing potential. The free standing spade rudder reduces its turning circle considerably. The centre of gravity is kept low in the keel by the lead bomb.

By using alternative materials for the shaft of the 1.80 m deep keel, the keel’s centre of gravity is kept just a few centimetres above the keel sole, so that the yacht can comfortably handle the standard 67 sqm of total sail area that is distributed between the self-tacking jib and the main sail. The mast is quoted as being 17 m high. It is built of light wood and affords a 360° sea view from the raised deck saloon.
