Jeanneau 57 - fully battened mainsail and two steering wheels

The Jeanneau 57’ from France, which is a good 17 m long, is designed for “selfsailors” who want to go sailing solo, without a crew. A fractional mast mounted on the keel, a fully battened mainsail and two steering wheels are given special mention by the shipyard. To quench the thirst of the VW 5-cylinder diesel engine it has a 420 l
fuel tank and the fresh water tank holds 1,000 l, while the tender is housed in the stern.
Variable number of cabins
Optional extras include a generator, an air conditioning unit, a watermaker and a hydraulically extendable gangway. This newcomer is available with three, four or five cabins – all with an en-suite shower – and can accommodate as many as ten people.
