Vetus adds Napoleon to electric anchor windlass range

Vetus Den Ouden N.V. of Schiedam, The Netherlands has added a new model electric anchor windlass, named Napoleon, to its range. This model is suitable for boats from 8 - 14 metres length (26 - 46 feet). The nominal lifting power is 350 kg and its maximum lifting power no less than 950 kg.
Stainless stell all around
However, the main feature of this windlass is that the housing, cover and drum are all made from high-gloss polished cast stainless steel which will maintain its looks even after long years of extensive use.. Most types of anchor windlass have their on-deck parts made of anodised aluminium, which in the course of time can discolour or stain. The Napoleon anchor windlass is however, chiefly made of type AISI 316 stainless steel.
LCD control panels
Dual relays are integrated into the motor housing, where they will remain free from corrosion and a chain counter sensor is also built in as standard. Naturally, this great little anchor windlass is available in 12 or 24 Volt versions. Two new LCD control panels compliment the Napoleon windlass and will, among other things, display the length of chain released in either feet or metres.
