The 2010 Waterz event brings together many great watersports

The 2010 Waterz is going to be an International multiple water board sport event located around the beautyful city Hvide Sande on the west coast of Denmark. Waterz will include 4 main competitions, a windsurfing downwind race, a kiteboarding downwind race, a wakeboard freestyle cable competition and an SUP show in the Harbour of Hvide Sande. And it is possible to enter the competitions without being a professional athlete. The idea is to create a competition for everyone with high safety precautions, powered by Nature.

Racing with the World Champion
At the Waterz event you will have the opportunity to race with Antoine Albaeu and other experienced windsurfers and see if you can reach the same speed on the downwind tack. We will hold the Windsurfing and Kitesurfingdownwind competition as a tribute to the wind and it doesn't matter if you are first or last crossing the finish line, it is all about having fun together and enjoying the wind and the water. The downwind race will be a beautiful nature experience for everyone who is participating, as the long distance downwind race is going to be a ride through Ringkøbing fjord followed by professional lifeguards so everyone can feel save crossing the Ringkøbing fjord. The distance depends on the wind direction on the day, and is set so everyone regardsless level can participate.

Adventure-packed weekend
Beside the 4 main competitions there will be areas with exhibitions in modern energy and a free surfing school at the Atlantic side of the harbor. Amidst all that you will also have the chance to see and try out the newest equipment from the leading board sport manufactures on the inside (Rinkøbing Fjord) and much more. Together with VESTAS who are the world's leading supplier of wind powered solutions and one of biggest wind turbines (windmills) manufactures in the world and other local interest, Waterz is now a reality.

City between waters
Situated between the North Sea and Ringkøbing Fjord, Hvide Sande offers you the videst variety in water sports. From the great North Sea wave spot Flynder Point to the flat waters of Aqua Sports Zone, you have the whole palette of surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing right in front of you. No wind or no waves? Well – then you can just go SUPing or kayaking in the harbor or Aqua Sports Zone. Or go cable wakeboarding or wakeskiing at KABELPARK®. During the years, many youngsters have made their first steps on a surfboard in Hvide Sande, as the surf- and wakeschools have great facilities on Ringkøbing Fjord.
