Water sports enthusiasts can submit films that show them in action in or on the water. They should be uploaded to the special website for this competition www.award.boot.de by 15. December 2015. Detailed information about participation in the award as well as uploading instructions can be found there too. boot Director Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel: “We want really authentic clips of water sports enthusiasts which show that our sport is beautiful and, above all, great fun to try too.” In line with the boot Düsseldorf motto “Experience 360° water sports”, the videos should demonstrate the entire panorama of water sports activities.

The award is being presented in the categories sailing, motorboating (including jet skiing and inflatable boating), yachting, diving, fishing, paddling, windsurfing, kitesurfing, wakeboarding and stand-up paddling as well as family holidays by, on or under the water. boot Düsseldorf has come up with something very special as the winners’ prizes: a Splash Drone supplied by Multikopter. This quadcopter is not merely rain- or splash-proof; it is completely water-tight, so that it can start directly out of water. This make the revolutionary Splash Drones pretty much a must-have for any water sports enthusiast, since they enable him or her to film every detail of his or her sport. These super drones will be on show in the Water Pixel World at boot Düsseldorf from 23. to 31. December 2016. The entrants who come in second to fifth in all the categories will also be receiving attractive water sports-related prizes. The winners will be presented their prizes at a ceremony held during boot Düsseldorf on Sunday, 24. January 2016.

There is another prize for the most attractive and exciting clips: they will be part of the new advertising campaign with which boot Düsseldorf 2017 will be publicised. The most distinctive pictures will be chosen as poster and advertisement motifs! Before the biggest boat trade fair in the world starts, these pictures will be used to advertise the event in and around Düsseldorf as well as in the international water sports magazines. The QR code printed on them will enable water sports fans to access the winning video directly and to experience the fascination of the sport live.
